Frédéric Billharz is a tenor born in Geneva who studied at the Geneva Conservatory. His repertoire is diverse, ranging from opera to musical comedy and from sacred music to contemporary music. He recently released an album “La rinascita” featuring opera arias in Italian: Nessun Dorma, La donna è mobile, E lucevan le stelle. This album was made possible thanks to the enthusiasm generated by a participatory campaign. During his concerts, Frédéric mixes musical styles and sings in 9 languages. We gave him our microphone.

Le répertoire de Frédéric Billharz est hétéroclite, allant de l’opéra à la comédie musicale, en passant par la musique sacrée et la musique contemporaine. Le ténor a sorti un album intitulé «La rinascita» reprenant des airs d’opéra en italien: Nessun Dorma, La donna è mobile, E lucevan le stelle… Il sera en concert le samedi 17 septembre, à 20h30, au P’tit Music’Hohl.

In the spring, Frédéric Billharz spent 8 days behind the windows of the HUG, seriously ill with covid-19. On respiratory assistance, unable to walk, Frédéric has very vague memories of his stay at the HUG. But the dedication of the medical staff deeply moved him. So he wanted to pay tribute to them in his own way: through lyrical singing. "I really like Queen and by changing the lyrics I thought it was an interesting hook to raise public awareness of the fact that the virus is still there and that the healthcare staff are being put to the test."
